FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules
The Federal Trade Commission established new rules for Disclosure Compliance in 2015 to ensure that readers or viewers of web media are informed if the blogger or publisher has any sponsorships, endorsements, or partnerships with other companies. It is necessary for readers to know if the content publisher is earning money by sharing a link or promoting a product.
To comply with the FTC guidelines, it is assumed that the following applies to links and posts on Cats and Purrs:
All links on Cats and Purrs are affiliate links, which means we receive a small commission from sales of certain items.
What Are Affiliate Links?
When you click on an affiliate link on Cats and Purrs, you will be directed to an external affiliate company website to complete your purchase. catsandpurrs.com does not sell any products directly. When a reader makes a purchase through an affiliate link, the company pays a small commission or other compensation to catsandpurrs.com for referring the customer.
Please note that the price of the product remains the same for readers, whether they purchase through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. There is no difference in cost or any other aspect for the visitor.
